Professional Mentor
Troy Olson was my professional mentor. Mr. Olson teaches marketing at both Century High School and Bismarck High School. He also coaches hockey and golf at the school. Speaking with Troy Olson showed me the importance of being organized as an educator and coach. He talked about always needing to have each schedule planned carefully so that each organization or class he was involved with got hi proper amount of time.
Faculty Mentor
Mrs. Marman was my faculty mentor. When meeting with professor Marman, we were able to discuss a variety of topics. Some lessons that really stuck with me were how to go about furthering my education, and how to always be prepared for class. We discussed how to use time wisely and how to get the most out of the day. Most importantly, professor Marman pushed me to get a minor in special education over my senior year. Instead of taking a light course load next year, I will be loading up in order to get a minor finished. She helped me realize that a good teacher never stops learning, and that in order to be the best you have to push yourself.
